Bandit is doing great

My wife agreed with her friend to help foster five sick kittens who had not yet had there eyes open. A vet who saw them gave us some antibiotics to help with there respiratory problems. One by one, the kittens died and caused much heart ache. We were down to the last kitten, Bandit.

Sad little Bandit
Lewie with BanditI haven’t spoken much about him. We didn’t know if he was going to pull through. It took a long time before his breathing got better. As his health improved, I began to wonder if he would have any problems because he was so young when he got sick. I wasn’t sure if he would purr either since it seemed to cause him so much pain to do so before.

Today, bandit is a purr box. He is very active and very much an alpha male in our small commune of cats. The last thing that I see before I go to sleep is him. When I wake up, he is rite there beside me. I also let him lay on my lap when I am at my computer. He doesn’t stay put for long and is interested in everything around him. Angel says that he probably bonds with men much easier.
Watch a video of Bandit and Prince having fun.

He is in that phase of chewing on wires. It’s a nasty habit, but it is probably mostly due to his teething. I’m trying to teach him not to bite me so often. They are playful bites, but it won’t help if he is nibbling peoples fingers when we try to get him adopted.

    He’s cute… I don’t think you’ll have any trouble finding him a new home.

[…] Bandit is progressing well and he is at that stage where everything he does is cute. The world around him grabs his attention with every little thing that he sees. Tonight he saw the cursor on my screen move around. I giggled a few times just watching him chase it and started playing with him. It’s interesting to think that I am using a mouse to play with him.
