Oh dear god! If there is one thing that I truly hate in this world, it is the inventor of that damned Nextel Beep for there Walkie-Talkie feature. It’s a high pitched sound that alerts you and everyone around a 100 foot radius that somone is about to speak to you in a loud and unincomprehensible voice.

In addition, that beep will continue to reoccur every time that person responds to your reply. I never remember those old walkie-talkies from growing up having that feature. My dads CB radio didn’t have it either.

So I went to McDonnalds today to get a milk shake for my sore throat. Yea - still sick, but not so bad. Anyhow, I’m setting there with my shake and this guy at another table gets the beep. Now here is the thing that really gets me. This guy (in a public place) talks at his loudest voice so that the person on the other end can hear them. Hello? Get a phone you ass hole!

I found myself trying to pretend that I wasn’t botherd. I then got pissed and figured, why should I suffer? So I just stared at him while I ate my food and sipped my shake. He told his buddy he had to go, got up and moved across the room.
