World of WarCraft Add-Ons
I’m starting to dive into these Add-Ons that everyone is offering for this game. There are so many that it is hard to keep track of what does what. I’ll have to make a post listing each one that I have found later on.
This post is specific to CensusPlus. It is an add-on that crawls the “/who” data of people online. It creates a mini database of everyone on the server at that time. As more polls are made later on, your database grows. The nice part is that it creates a chart of different races, classes and levels on that server. It will also list all of the guilds as well.
Ever time it was done crawling the server, it would tell me not to forget to upload the data file to warcraftrealms.com. I decided to check out the website today and see what it was all about. It turns out that everyone uploads there files here and then you can see statistics across a much broader scope.
Someone had created an application called UniUpload seperate from the add-on so that it will automatically upload the file for you. This is great because I don’t want to have to manually do this consistently, and I may forget. The old website where UniUpload is hosted is moving to WoW Profilers.com.
Any how, last but not least is a new feature from the Warcraft Realms site. The front page shows that they now support signatures with the most recent data that they have. I found one of my characters on the site, but his information is fairly outdated. He is a level 26, but he is showing up as a level 17 character. I also found one for my wife, Angel - but hers is a little out dated with the data as well.
The data that I had uploaded tonight wasn’t immediately available either. I had created a new character on my wifes realm and made it to level 9, but he didn’t exist in the database yet.
