Just turned 30
I have graduated from the 20 something group of people. I am now 30 years of age. Technically, it isn’t for another five and a half hours. Growing up, there was always something to look forward to. Here are a few things that I had looked forward to while growing up:
- PG, PG-13, PG-17, R Rated Movies
- Work permit
- Work (without permit)
- Drivers Permit
- Drivers License
- Selective Service Registration
- Smoking
- Consent
- Drinking alchohol
- Lotto Ticket
- Credit Cards
- Drivers Insurance Reduction
Well, now that I’m all growed up, I’m not sure if there is anything left to look forward to. I guess there is the mandatory age for presidency, but I doubt that I would become one. Also, the big 40 is something NOT to look forward to. I hear rumors of guys having to go in for an exam at that age. Something about proctology. And last there is retirement around 60 or 65 - given that social security is fixed by that time.
So is there anything beneficial to look forward to?

Welcome to the club! Like my hubby says, the 30s are like the 20s–but without all the mistakes (or at least in MY case).
Oh and that exam–women have to get it too!

The 30’s are what you make it. I have loved all the ones I have done so far!

You can always look forward to that senior discount and restaurants and such.
Happy birthday.
