It’s Relatively Spam
Every now and then my real mom sends me an email. It’s either jokes, a referral program, or for some political cause. These things are like spam. It’s not like a “Hello” or a “How are you doin?”. It’s the only contact that I have with her.
So what can I do? This is my mom. I don’t want to say stop, because that is like cutting off all contact what so ever. For now, I have decided that I would reply to everyone on the message and initiate conversation with her.
Here are a few emails that I sent back at her (and a few of her closest friends).
Hi Mom. How is it going?

and hope not 2 multiply.

Well, the emails still keep comming without any complaints. At least I am spreading the word of my blog and my iPod program to some new people.

ghaa, my aunt used to forward me all this “spam.” it was all jokes or chain letters, and eventually i had to tell her to only email me if she has something she wants to say to me, personally. so she sent me a nice loooong letter about her cats.
i think i preferred the spam.

I used to have a lot of my old high school friends that would send me all this same kind of stuff, that is until I started replying to their whole email list that what they sent me is a haux. If you reference snopes.com and email it out across their email distribution list, I guarantee whoever is emailing you this crap will stop. Of course, they may stop emailing you alltogether, which is something you may not want.
