Have you ever found something that you were not supposed to find? A while back ago, my sister in-law left the house. She left a CD case with me and told me to give it to my mother in-law when she came to visit. These two were going to miss each other that day and I was the middle man. The additional information that she gave me was that mom was dying to listen to the album for a long time.

The album was unfamiliar and looked pretty cool (Acroma: orbitals). I wasn’t sure if it was mine or not (Yes, I have that many CD’s that I don’t know what I have). I decided to back the CD up to my hard drive in case mom lost the CD. Rite away I noticed that the album was taped up on both sides. I got a knife from the kitchen and cut through the tape. I flipped the case open and discovered something that I shouldn’t have. I quickly taped it back up hoping that mom didn’t walk in the door at any minute.

I’m not going to go into what it was that I found, but man … I almost felt like I was being setup. Let’s look at the facts

• Mom has been wanting to listen to the album for a long time
• It was supposed to be a really good album
• The album looked cool to me
• I am often backing up my CD collection

Fortunately, it turned out that it wasn’t a test of my character to see if I would sneak into things. I honestly thought I was going to find a CD in there. I mean … It’s a CD case. I guess the tape was a bit odd, but I figured maybe the case was broken.

Update: For everyone that keeps wondering about it, I guess I should fess up. I will not go into detail, but it looked like some herbs. Mom has a lot of crazy concoctions that she likes to use them for.
