Photographic Spelling with Flickr
I was visiting Chronicled and saw a post about flickr pointing me over to a site that plays with flickr images. It’s called Spell with flickr. You enter in a word, and it gets some random images from flickr to spell it out. Here are my results when I asked it to spell out Lewie:
If you refresh the page where you generate the images, you will get different images.
Deryke pointed out that the Ruksak Blog has a similar set of results in the header of his blogs template. It is possible that he did his images like this, but he couldn’t have used the default images that the “Spell with flickr” page gives you. He would have had to get the original photos from the flickr site and put them together.

You’re killing me! I hit that flickr mosaic site on SU yesterday and my blog post today was a toss-up between that one and the penis growing out of a guy’s arm, and well… You know which won out.

ms. mac turned out surprisingly interesting but it didn’t match with the pink so I left it where it was. Fun though!

While we are on the subject (sort of) do you or any any of your blurfers know where I can get images of Smarties tops? I want to spell in Smarties tops and doing it the manual way is not good for my teeth.

O.k - I am a regular flickr’r and I love the cool groups. It is quite addicting - and I now carry a camera with me everywhere.
I have since joining, created a photoblog, a “Blogs That Flickr” webring & blog, I moderate 7 groups on flickr…and have a main foodie blog.
So life is fun.
If you are looking for photos tagged with a specific name, I suggest you use : Flickr Related Tag Browser This application kicks some major a**.
It lists pictures in thumbnails, then gives you 15 + associated tags , with each search. Very cool & fast.
