My beliefs are similar to Buddhists
I was over at Just Breathe and found a little religion quiz they took to see which one best fit there beliefs. I decided to take a crack at it myself and was surprised to see it come back and say that I should consider becoming a Buddhist.
You scored as Buddhism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Buddhism. Do more research on Buddhism and possibly consider becoming Buddhist, if you are not already.
In Buddhism, there are Four Noble Truths: 1. Life is suffering. 2. All suffering is caused by ignorance of the nature of reality and the craving, attachment, and grasping that result from such ignorance. 3. Suffering can be ended by overcoming ignorance and attachment.4. The path to the suppression of suffering is the Noble Eightfold Path, which consists of right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right-mindedness, and right contemplation. These eight are usually divided into three categories that base the Buddhist faith: morality, wisdom, and samadhi, or concentration. In Buddhism, there is no hierarchy, nor caste system; the Buddha taught that one’s spiritual worth is not based on birth.

Hey–I got Buddhism also, at 96%. I scored 75% for Islam, Agnosticism and Satanism.
Interesting quiz, as they always are!

Since these quizzes are all created by humans (a good many by teenagers) I wouldn’t put too much stock in their predictions. On the other hand, this one was darn near dead on with me.

Since I am a backslider, it figures that I’d be 79% Christian and a little of everything else.

Thanks for dropping in today. Come back any time and bring your coffee and sit a spell.

I scored “Christian”. Go figure. I guess that whole, “Jesus is God” thing sealed the deal.

i scored 100% for satanism. BOOM!
March 31st, 2005 at 4:19 am
Wow, atheism. What a surprise. Though the fact that I got 67% Satanism is a little creepy. Either the quiz equates atheism with Satanism to a certain degree, or I’m 67% scary.

actually, satanism doesn’t have to mean the worship or acknowledgement of “Satan”. as this quiz says, “Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes.” not really so scary, when you think about it.

Jenny: You’re right, I’d never realized Satanism was so common, you just described 98% of the earth’s population: self-absorbed.

Hmm… Why didn’t I get a better Satanism score then? I’m so self absorbed. I figure that my blog kinda reflects that.

Well that sorta reflects my views in religion well.
One thing that offended me is that when I offered the test to a couple of friends one was reluctant to take it as his religion was not included, and so would I if my belief was not on there.
The fact of the matter is they are missing one big religion, Sikhism, maybe not as big as other beliefs but certainly a big and growing religion. I think another upgrade to the test is needed.

Sikhism? Never heard of it.

I see Jedi is missing as well.
390,000 people in Britain are Jedi Knights according to the official census.

WOW 390,000 people in britain are Jedi Knights!
Really, Havn’t heard of Sikhism? It’s rather a big religion, looking up census my self 301,000 are sikhs in the UK http://www.statistics.gov.uk/cci/nugget.asp?id=1086
Although Its suprising when its less than Jedi Knight’s
I wonder if I know anyone who follow the faith

Male Sikhs generally wear turbans which is a bit of a giveaway.
As for Jedi they have a light sabre.
April 3rd, 2005 at 12:32 pm
I doubt that every Jedi knight out there is walking around in the UK waving there light saber around. I would imagine that it is concealed.
From what I understand, the census was done when the first episode was comming out. I doubt there are so many that still follow the faith.
I always figured that anyone who wore a turbin was either a taxi driver or a 7-11 clerk. I didn’t know that religions had that kind of requirement as well.

Yeah, Sikhs require the turbans. I remember right after 9/11 there was a Sikh (easily identified by the turban) who was beaten up because people thought he was a Muslim. Sikhs tend to come from India, in the western part. It’s a monotheistic religion. And I think it was part of the movie Bend It Like Beckham, but I don’t know if you’ve ever seen that movie.
