Well, actually I used to use GNU Privacy Guard with Thunderbird. It's a sort of a replacement for PGP. It doesn't use patented algorithms, so it can be used freely without any legal issues.<br /><br />I noticed that at first I had to really make myself use encryption and signing, once it became a routine there was no problems. <br />Mostly I used signing since I also don't really have much I have to encrypt.
