Race War Kingdoms Shortcommings

Race War Kingdoms is a great game that is simple. However, I’ve been finding problems with its interface ever since I’ve started playing with it. You access just about everything through drop-down select boxes. Yuck! This thing needs some help. I wondered many times if I could do something similar and be better.

Something that I recently discovered is that it is not supported in Mozilla Firefox. My guess is that this game only works in Internet Explorer. That’s a tough break. I could probably make something that supports both browsers.

My main problem is … where do I start? Also, I have tons of other features of how I would want a Turn-Based RPG game to work. I love the idea of controlling multiple characters in a party too.

The hardest part is maps. They can become very large. The graphics to support them would be bandwidth intensive. Race War Kingdoms offers the ability to download a few megabytes of images. I’d rather have good quality graphics that may require a CD to be mailed out.

I have been playing rwk for at least 5 years now…and not once have i had trouble with the drop down menus. Just because you do not like the graphics/interface, does not mean you should act like you can do better, because chances are, you can’t. The graphics and interface are like that for a reason; being that there are so many commands and options that any other way would take up precious space for the interface.
