Yin and Yang gerbils
My two new gerbils, Yin (black) and Yang (white). These are my pets pets. My cats love to sit around the cage and watch them. They will even sleep in front of the cage. My cats remind me of little kids sometimes.
The good news is that my gerbil cage is enclosed within a larger guinipig cage. I had to do this to prevent the cats from knocking the cage over, and so that there claws can’t get in at the gerbils. I’m sure they mean well, but I don’t want to take any chances.
Sometimes, the cats will growl at each other because they want a good spot to look at these two gerbils play.

i used to have two gerbils (spunky and rascal) who were constantly watched by my three cats. we called this little phenomenon “cat tv.”
hehe. just watch out for when one of the fatter cats knocks over the top of the tank/cage and is sitting inside it… that could make for some frightened gerbils.

Methinks your gonna wake up one sad morn to find one of your kitties “pets” either yinned or yanned into whatever the equivalent of the gerbil ELysian Fields are…
I’ll bet your dearies are “interested!”
Oh well…good luck…and I love your site.

Very nice blog….
hmmmmm good idea on the gerbil cage. I had a couple gerbils once but alas they went to visit the big gerbal cage in the sky via the kitties playful antics by knocking over the cage.
Poor little gerblis
