Turning Japanese

Saturday, November 27th, 2004

I was playing around with babel fish on my website and I was surprised that most of the translations came through. However … it’s all Japanese to me.

Time has its rewards

Saturday, November 27th, 2004

I had some odd dreams last night. Here is one of them.

We would kill people who would mess up the past really bad.
I was accompanying a woman dressed as a reporter.
I held a camera.
We were interviewing a man who was starting a small local news paper.
We were in a van with him arriving at his store.
His son had locked us out of the store – including is father.
His son was afraid and sensed something was wrong.
I put everything down and stepped back.
I sat at the curve.

The father was able to go in.
He brought his son out to show him that everything was ok.
I got some time alone with his son and told him who I really was and my real intent.
I did not want to carry out the mission.
I went to the reporter and told him to ask her.
He asked and she replied blindly that she didn’t know what he was talking about.

I chased her across the street in the traffic.
Her - They will never be able to advance if these people are responsible for the deaths of the inventors.
Me - How can the past advance, if it never suffers the intended circumstances?
She ran through a crowd of people
She ran down a stairwell.
Running down a stairwell after her
The stairwell continued on forever.

I had a paper in my hands with a symbol on it.
The symbol was used to travel back to the future.
The symbol was a Jewish star
It had letters in Hebrew at each vertex on the inside of the symbol
Top and bottom triangles were red
Other triangles were yellow
Middle was white

I got to the bottom of stairwell.
I killed the person.
I was able to destroy the paper.
No one would be able to return to the future again.
Many more people were also chasing me but stopped.
The main person in control took a picture of the scene.
The main person told everyone to meet back here at a specified time.

I walked up past everyone on the stairs that was chasing me.
As I arrived at the top, strangers started calling the names of the people who were chasing me.
I feared that they were after me at first.
As each person looked up when there name was called, the strangers killed them.
I walked through the crowd as they continued to call names.
Once past the crowd, I came to an area with many doors.
At the same time, each door opened and someone came out of each one.
They were all twins of the person who I killed.
My heart beat fast, and they all called my name at the same time.
Each held up a video tape and told me to watch it this time.

Another moved aside and a beautiful woman came out.
On behalf of the eight families of the eight years, we would like to present to you this token of appreciation.

I woke up to the sound of my wife preparing breakfast.
I like my reward.

Free-For-All-Friday

Friday, November 26th, 2004

A visitor had left a comment to one of my posts recently and I saw that he was having a Free-For-All-Friday today. What does that mean? It means that I can log in as a guest and post to his blog. I didn’t know what to post about, so I posted about an event this thanksgiving year where my little nephew blew my brother out of the sky in a video game called Halo 2.

Turkey Pox?

Friday, November 26th, 2004

Poor Aurora. She got stricken with chicken pox on thanks giving (a.k.a. Turkey Pox). This gal is getting a slew of suggestions all over the world for how to cure the itch and prevent scaring. A few people mentioned oat meal baths. Sounds kinda yummy. I wonder if it matters whether or not you use instant or regular oatmeal.

I’m a cheater

Friday, November 26th, 2004

While I was at the LA Weight Loss center the other day, a counselor told me about a special goal to be rewarded with in-store credit. I only had to lose half a pound over thanks giving. I met that goal.

Ok, I wasn’t exactly honest about it. Before I went into the center, I took my wallet out of my pants and stuffed it inside my coats breast pocket. I got on the scale and it read 255.8 pounds. This meant that I lost .6 pounds. Woo hoo!

My wallet weights 5 ounces, so I offset the scale a little over 3 tenths of a pound. However, I don’t feel so bad about it. While I was waiting to be called, I was really having to go to the bathroom. And guess what - water weighs a lot. So I figure that the weight is pretty even.

I got some LA Lights on the way out. I choose peanut butter this time. She rung up the sale but forgot to give me my $10 instore credit, so I ended up spending $30 for a weeks worth of LA Lites. Oh well, I’ll use it next time when I buy the LA Lights in bulk on my next pay check.

Trackback Forms

Friday, November 26th, 2004

After reading up on some information and learning how trackbacks work, I was able to integrate trackback forms into my blog. If your blogging software does not support trackbacks, then you can come to my post and enter your information here on this blog.

I also setup a reverse trackback form. If you find that one of my posts reference your posts, then simply paste the trackback url into the Reverse Trackback form and add a comment or an excerpt from the post.

Enjoy!

Yogurt Rocks Now!

Friday, November 26th, 2004

I’m ok with plain yogurt. Angel has to leave the room if I start eating it. But now, we can comfortably start eating together now that my plan has changed to allow artificially flavored Light yogurt. I must admit, the plain yogurt was starting to get … bland. Same thing every day.

The coolest thing is that flavored yogurt comes in 8oz cups for only two cents more then the plain yogurt. I would usually end up drinking a quarter cup of skim milk to make up the difference of the missing yogurt. Now I can just sit back and eat the yogurt alone. This stuff is really tastey too! Today I had blueberry yogurt. Mmmm…

Bills and Groceries

Friday, November 26th, 2004

Angel is working with me to get a handle on my finances now. This is great. I always felt like I needed help with the stuff and hated facing everything alone. I always felt better when her mother came over and helped out, but she hasn’t looked through bills with me in a long time.

Rite now we are working on grocery lists. I’m figuring out stuff I can eat, and she is looking through the house to find stuff for her sister and herself. I’ll see you around.

Hollidays suck

Friday, November 26th, 2004

Well i guess Lewie is disappointed because i did not go with him to
his grandmothers this year.. I didn’t want to leave my sister home
alone for one.. Two last year i was more r less uncomfortable and
feel kinda claustrophobic in her small dining room with that many
family members…Mot of which i did not know…
My sister has a new romance interest… It kinda sucks tho… Every
time she gets a new romance interest she thoroughly neglects every
thing and every one els around her.. its like she becomes completely
involved with them.. His presence for the last couple of days was
starting to get to me.. I explained to cat how it made me feel.. she
was kinda defencive but rather then getting upset with me s she
usually does she actually considered what i said.. but she still went
to a club in DC with his tonight because I asked that he not come over
here tonight…. You’d think it would kill her to not see the guy for
one night….

There are so many things going on in my life right now that just seem
to add more and more stress…. Each time i try and address any issues
with my husband or my sister they seem to just get defencive or in
Lewie’s case he will try to point out my faults or follies.. they
both do that actually.. my sister will bring up shit from years ago
as if it even mattered anymore… god.. there are probably 101
things i could right about everything going wrong in my life lately..
could tell you how i feel alone or how i feel neglected by the
people i love most… God forbid even trying to console a stranger..
especially in Virginia…. State of Lovers.. no its the state of
overly hormonalized men and woman who can’t seem to stop fucking…..

Lewies wieght loss… well.. i am happy for him.. but when i look at
him he doesn;t quite look the same.. I enjoyed his belly.. when he
would come stand next to me downstairs by my computer and i would wrap
my arms around him and rest my head on his big belly.. its hardly
there anymore….when he comes into the room and i look at him i have
to remind myself its him… may be it would not have been so bad if he
did not loose so much weight so fast… may be its just me……

Trackback Autodiscovery

Friday, November 26th, 2004

I read up a little bit about how trackbacks can be autodiscovered. I actually went to the source. Although it was a bit too technical, I looked at the source code for the Aurorealis blog for a live example of how it is done.

Since I’m using Blogger.com with Haloscan for my trackbacks, I was able to create an RDF like the following:

<!–
<rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf=”http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#”
xmlns:dc=”http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/”
xmlns:trackback=”http://madskills.com/public/xml/rss/module/trackback/”>
<rdf:Description
rdf:about=”<$BlogItemPermalinkURL$>”
trackback:ping=”http://haloscan.com/tb/lewismoten/<$BlogItemNumber$>”
dc:identifier=”<$BlogItemPermalinkURL$>”
dc:title=”<$BlogItemTitle$>”
dc:subject=”<$BlogTitle$>”
dc:creator=”<$BlogItemAuthorNickname$>”
dc:date=”<$BlogItemDateTime$>”
/>
</rdf:RDF>
