Lost another pound
I lost another pound over the past 2 days, almost two pounds. I went in and saw a different counselor this time. She presented me with the same prices as my last counselor presented to me regarding a bulk purchase of LA Lites for the next year. I didn’t have a thousand dollars to lay down for the full term. She hit some numbers and I was getting depressed. No, I can’t afford the three hundred either. I asked if there was a plan that I could commit to the thousand dollar plan and pay monthly. The answer was no. I finally settled with paying a little over a hundred dollars for five weeks. So for the first four months on this plan, I’ll be paying two hundred dollars a month (100 for the service, 100 for the LA Lites). I remember the days in college when my rent was less. Those were the days …
Anyway - I guess that all diet plans are like this. The service is seperate from the food. They advertise that the food/supplements are optional, but they are built into all the plans. Man … I haven’t even bought into the supplements yet. A box of LA Lites costs about thirty dollars, and that will last you for a week. You can buy five boxes in bulk so that the fifth one is practically free. I’m wondering what a plan looks like without these. Would I replace them with something else? Or do I just eat less. Problem is, these things seem to have taken my hunger pains away (I think), so it seems like this is practically a necessity to avoid pain while on the plan.
Anyway, I came home and made dinner while Angel made a list of things she needed for the next two days. She handed me the list. Although it was on an index card, it was still a large list considering it was only two days. I’m almost at the point where I want to know what day and what meal she is going to eat this stuff with.
- Cherry Tomatos (are they even in season?)
- Produce Peanuts (This brand is no longer in stock)
- Milk
- Wheat Bread (We have an untouched loaf that expires today)
- Lowfat helmans mayo
- Sweat pickles
- Snackwells (with special note “anything that looks good and does not have marchmellow in it”. I’m trying to figure out what a snackwell is)
- Penutbutter rite crackers (what the heck is this?)
- Cheese crackers
- Beagles (I am definately not buying any dogs tonight)
So what looks normal to me?
- Cherry Tomatos
- Peanuts
- 2% Milk
- Lowfat helmans mayo (she is picky about brands, I have miracle whip)
- Bagels
Since I’m kinda strapped for cash until Friday, I can’t really go out and buy too much junk for her to eat over the next two days. Besides, she is trying to lose weight and should stay away from some of the junk foods. Ok, so I’m an a**h*** - I’ll admit it. Also, she tends to like a brand of food and gets upset if I don’t get the same brand again. A lot of brands have come and gone, only to leave me in hot water. Before it was something like “For You” Radishes, and now it is “Produce” Peanuts. What, oh what am I to do?
